May is a marvellous month, with Emeralds, Lily of the Valley and Taurus as its symbols. Bold, dainty and terribly stubborn; which is a pretty good description of how this month is turning out for us in Portland, with blasting hot days, delicately warm nights and a mind of its own regarding the weather!

When we got the sample of these in, there was a collective “FINALLY!” amongst us all. What’s even better is that they match Foot Traffic’s Opaque Tights in Red, Rust (shown), Yellow, Kelly, Turquoise (shown), and Tabbisocks’ Color Tights in Grape perfectly! Or you can wear them over solid white tights to really let the rainbows stand out.

EDIT: Our stretch test today reveal that these stretch 17” at the cuff, but are a little tighter at 16” in the body because of how the design is knit in.

Shimmery Crews by Tabbisocks!

These have just enough sparkle to be fun, but not so much that they’re very scratchy on your feet (though those with super sensitive skin may not agree). The black pair are just FULL of sparkle in any light you please, while the other colours tend to be a little more subtle in their glimmer.

Miss Pumpkin, or resident Shiba Inu/Aussie Cattle Dog mix, LOVES to put on a tutu and get in front of the camera*—especially if ALL eyes are on her, and there are special puppy treats involved. We thought she matched our new knee socks so well that we just had to get her into the product shots.

Sock Dreams Journal: National Nylon Day is May 15th!

Flattering, fancy and just the thing to finish off a dressy outfit, nylons have a fascinating history. Though our focus here at Sock Dreams is on socks, we do carry and love stockings. And we’re also big nerds who love to share history and facts. Today I’ll share a quick overview of the history of nylons, with some helpful facts for folks interested in rocking these classic and classy stockings. If you want more info, there are great, in-depth, histories of stockings all over the place. I’m super partial to the Smithsonian’s Stocking Series.
