I got my partner some appropriately adorable/nerdy/queer Valentine’s Day gifts. First, stripy socks from Sock Dreams, to grace hir awesome legs. They came complete with a bonus adorable doodle of a dinosaur, rooster, teddy bear and pixie frolicking together, as per my packing slip request. Every creature represented is some kind of in-joke or flirtation between us.

Second, a Wee Rex plush from Topatoco, because even though ze is not a huge webcomic reader, ze loves cuddly plush things. I will vicariously absorb the webcomic-y goodness.

Tumblr friends who I know in real life, please be nice and preserve these secrets. I just couldn’t resist sending a big internet “thank you” to the awesome indie companies that give me the opportunity to buy this stuff.
