Just in time for summer! YouTube user Loepsie has made a new and improved version of her infamous sock bun video. The sock bun isn’t just ONE great hairstyle: if you leave a sock bun in damp hair overnight, you’ll wake up with huge, smooth curls!

Some of us Dreamers have tried her sock bun method, and personally, I LOVE it. I have a bob haircut that’s very short in back and pretty long in front, which means I have to make a big sock bun at the very front of my head. That stunted unicorn look isn’t exactly a style I leave the house in or anything, but it works really well for me to get fantastic heat-free curls (kind of like Rihanna’s, but looser).

I can’t recommend this enough! There’s a very good reason for the 1.7 million views on the original sock bun video and 3.4 million views on the heat-free curling video. And come on, we all know you have a spare unmatched sock lying around— who doesn’t? It may take a bit of practice to master your sock bun technique, but give it a try! You might be surprised… <3
