Spooky and sweet, Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas has been a favourite choice since I was a kid. There’s so much DIY potential here, you guys. SO much.

Draw stitch-marks on a pair of light grey tights. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can stitch them on by hand. It’d be easiest to do this while the tights are on so you can get the placement just right—but please be careful and don’t prick your skin! Sally also wears black and white stripes scrunched down around her ankles.

You can take a second pair of the same tights and cut them to be arm warmers for the same treatment, or you can use matching grey body paint and draw more stitches on. A long red wig and a patchwork dress (c’mon, you can DIY this…you know you can) complete a ghoulishly fun outfit.
