Nabbed a shot of our warehouse assistant, Kitsune’s, tights and socks combo. We’re kind of wild about cyan+red at the moment, and the K Bell Rainbow Knee Highs are a perfect accompaniment to the rest of the outfit. Because of all the colour and patterns going around in the skirt and socks, simple black Combed Cotton Tights by Foot Traffic keep it from being too much.

With warmer weather rapidly creeping up on us (woo!), my skirts are getting a little shorter, and my wool socks and tights are about to be retired until next fall.

Leggings are a fantastic choice for in-between weather! These Side Butterfly Printed Footless Tights (which are on sale for $20!) by b.ella, are soft and opaque microfiber, with a really cute stylised butterfly pattern up the sides of the leggings.

Both shots above are of the leggings on me, and I love that the pattern doesn’t distort in ugly ways on the larger parts of my legs—and that it goes all the way up tot he waist! The burgundy pair is probably my absolute favourite, because of how subtle it is (so subtle that it was hard to get a good shot of the design!), but the white is great for my floofier outfits and just begs to be paired with flounces and lace.

The stretch on these is sick, about 28 inches, but on my 19” chicken legs (and less, like when below the knee) they stayed up great, even without tights beneath.

Seriously guys, 100 inches is a lot of sock—the 100 Inch Super Ruched Socks are bit over eight feet.  On my shorter inseam (30”), there is a lot of ruching and gathering going on.  They are def growing on me and I like to think of how I could rock them.

Worn over a pair of cut up Pothole Pantyhose.

It’s been quite a while since I posted my own socks, but I had to share this combination. Rosalind, one of our Facebook ladies, brought me her pair of Ozone Floating Flower Midcalves because she thought they’d suit me more than her. I think they look pretty darling with my Foot Traffic Nordic Texture Tights!

Dreamer Jen was rockin’ some Diamond Lace OTKs ($10) with Simply Adjustable Sock Garters ($12) today, and I just had to get a snap of them.
The Diamond Lace OTKs are so lovely, with a subtle butterfly lace pattern, and comfy feet. The top band fits comfortably up to 20 inches, while the body has lots more stretch, making them a fantastic knee high for those with curvier legs.

I just got the Super Dreamy Stockings ($16) in Heliotrope and as you can see, they definitely live up to their name. They are also super LONG on my comparatively tiny frame, so I decided to keep them up with a pair of Star Sock Garters (SOLD OUT, $13). The sock garters worked perfectly; I didn’t have to adjust them once! Even though these are gone, we also carry a variety of fancy sock garters, from the standard Simply Adjustable Sock Garters ($12), to the more elaborate Snappy Garters line by Shelleopard (starting at $15+).

Well, Tumblr, today is the fifth night of Hanukkah as well as the night before Christmas, which means things are starting to wind down at our Headquarters. So we found a few minutes to make some truly awesome products live today. These Tabbisocks Color Tights ($14, 17 colours available!) are the one thing I’ve been bouncing in my seat waiting for.
If you’ve been following us on Tumblr for a while, you may have seen my earlier post when we first got these tights in our Shop, located in the Sellwood neighbourhood of Portland. I’m happy to say that nearly everyone here has tested out the sizing, and we’re all very impressed by the fit, from the most petite to the curviest plus-sized Sock Dreamer.
And, seriously, they come in three shades of purple. What more could you ask for?

When we saw these faux fur Boot Cuff Warmers ($10) from Tabbisocks, we knew that we had to get them on our website. I mean, look at them, they are just so cute, and in person they are really soft and nice—none of that stiff, brittle plastic you get with a lot of faux fur items. In addition to the lovely black pictured here, the cuffs also come in Brown and Grey!

What’s also great about them is that they make a weirdly adorable (and warm!) collar, as modeled by our Dreamer, Rachel, on the right. It’s pretty straight-forward: simply tie one end of each cuff together, slip around your neck, and then tie the remaining. Rachel says they stay in place pretty well, but if you’re looking to do a lot of running around, discretely pinning the collar to your top might be a good idea.

Leg Avenue Faux Garter Look Pantyhose ($10)

At Sock Dreams, we try to test all new products on as many employees as we can. So today I thought I’d give a little visual comparison of myself and a fellow Dreamer in the same style of pantyhose, a standard ‘one size fits most’ style with a weight range of 90-160lb. I’m just about 5’ and at the higher end of the weight range, whereas my fellow model is 5’10 and at the lower end. We’re both completely opposite body types, so it’s fun taking pictures together to really highlight the range of fit—especially in tights!

For a little more technical info, these fit comfortably at 40” hips with a 31” waist, and up to 23” in the thigh. The wider your tights, the wider the faux garters will be—we found they were about 2-3 inches wide on inseams from 32 to 29 inches. Like most hose, these fit curvy or leggy folks best, not both. As always, you can email us at orders@sock-dreams.com with your measurements if you have any questions!

Got this Lo Pocket Sport ($39) from Sock Dreams yesterday. It is the perfect size to hold my cell phone and a few cards. And it has adjustable velcro bits to help make the stretchy straps fit just right. Now I don’t have to worry about whether or not my skirt has pockets :-)
(via Sock Dreamer Rachel!)
Cute and functional, and made locally here in Portland, Oregon! This is a must-have for those who travel a lot because it keeps your valuables close and safe.
We just got a brand new shipment of these in today, so there should be enough to go around!
