Our Dream Stockings Super Longs are back! Though these are not the longest socks we make, at 100 inches of goodness, they definitely get the job done.
These socks are for serious sock aficionados only. It takes quite a long time to put them on, but once they’re on, they’re staying there for a while. The feet are also quite large, as you can kind of see on my tiny (US6) feet in the last two photos.

This past week, I accompanied Rosalind, who runs our Pinterest, to the Portland Mercury’s Spring Fashion show! It was a blast, full of interesting people and really gorgeous outfits.
Socks and tights were sparse, unfortunately, but not as bad as the national fashion shows have seemed. Above are our favourites from both the audience and the runway. Black graphic geometric tights, cream and bright yellow seemed to be a big thing with the different designers. Maybe next year we can get someone to fancy up those legs!

It continues to be sunny and lovely in Portland, which means more outdoor shots! These are Tatiane Diamond Microfiber Tights by B.Ella, featured on a variety of our legs.
The material on these is so incredibly soft and lush! We found that the fit runs a little small on these. I’m a medium in B.Ella usually, but these were kind of difficult to get into—much like shapewear—but once they were on, they weren’t going anywhere. If you don’t like your tights to be too compression-like, order the next size up.

Meet Annika of Pineneedle Collective! Please click the source to see the original post, including information on where her other clothes and accessories are from.
This summer we are running an international shipping sale in Australia and New Zealand (see Annika’s Blog, or check out the Winter issue of Peppermint Magazine for a special 50% off code!), and Annika is our Australian blog ambassador! Over the coming weeks, she is going to be highlighting some of our goodies on her fantastic blog, and showing off all the different ways they can be worn.
Here she’s wearing our brand-new Dreamy Bamboo OTKs in Ivory. These are lightly patterned with designs reminiscent of Renaissance architecture—and they look fantastic over Color Tights.

Tank girl socks from #sockdreams (Taken with instagram)
Clever use of Olive/Red/Black Dreamy Striped Tubes alongside white and blue ~Mystery Socks~ (check out our White with Blues Skater Stripes for our closest approximation) over black tights.
I would love to see more kick-butt mismatched sock combos come across this tumblr. Who’s up for the challenge?

Nabbed a shot of our warehouse assistant, Kitsune’s, tights and socks combo. We’re kind of wild about cyan+red at the moment, and the K Bell Rainbow Knee Highs are a perfect accompaniment to the rest of the outfit. Because of all the colour and patterns going around in the skirt and socks, simple black Combed Cotton Tights by Foot Traffic keep it from being too much.
With warmer weather rapidly creeping up on us (woo!), my skirts are getting a little shorter, and my wool socks and tights are about to be retired until next fall.
Leggings are a fantastic choice for in-between weather! These Side Butterfly Printed Footless Tights (which are on sale for $20!) by b.ella, are soft and opaque microfiber, with a really cute stylised butterfly pattern up the sides of the leggings.
Both shots above are of the leggings on me, and I love that the pattern doesn’t distort in ugly ways on the larger parts of my legs—and that it goes all the way up tot he waist! The burgundy pair is probably my absolute favourite, because of how subtle it is (so subtle that it was hard to get a good shot of the design!), but the white is great for my floofier outfits and just begs to be paired with flounces and lace.

Sock Dreams Journal: Soft Spring Rainbows!
Pale, pretty colour wheels for springtime.
PS: A big thank you to everyone who helped us reach 40k fans on Sock Dreams’ Facebook!
The stretch on these is sick, about 28 inches, but on my 19” chicken legs (and less, like when below the knee) they stayed up great, even without tights beneath.
Seriously guys, 100 inches is a lot of sock—the 100 Inch Super Ruched Socks are bit over eight feet. On my shorter inseam (30”), there is a lot of ruching and gathering going on. They are def growing on me and I like to think of how I could rock them.
Worn over a pair of cut up Pothole Pantyhose.

It’s been quite a while since I posted my own socks, but I had to share this combination. Rosalind, one of our Facebook ladies, brought me her pair of Ozone Floating Flower Midcalves because she thought they’d suit me more than her. I think they look pretty darling with my Foot Traffic Nordic Texture Tights!
Today, Friday, March 2, 2012 was a fabulous outfit if I do say so myself!
While I was waiting at the bus stop, an elderly man walked past me, and then a minute or so later he came back, said, “Your outfit is too great not to have one,” gave me this gorgeous pink flower, and walked away. It was the first time I’ve ever received a flower from anyone outside my family and it was wonderful wonderful beautiful and I cried in the middle of the street.
The highlight of this outfit is of course the thigh-high black tube socks from Sock Dreams! They were delivered in two days and are absolutely perfect and wonderful and delightful and you should all buy things from there okay go.
Also: black pencil skirt from H&M (the same as Veronica’s but a different color!), black and white striped three-quarter sleeve shirt from Forever 21, black Star Wars bracelet, pink ribbon ring, black shiny jacket from Forever 21, black boots from Charlotte Russe.
Your inspirational story of the day. This made us all smile, and we hope it brightens up your day as well.
